The HAMO Foundation has meant a lot of different things to me. It’s a great organization for individuals young and old. The Foundation holds several types of events each year, both social and educational, for kids and adults to get involved. When I go to these events, I am always welcomed and feel at ease. The HAMO Foundation wants kids like myself to know that it’s okay to feel the way you feel but wants you to know that there are other kids or adults who you can talk to and feel safe and heard. Susan Owen, who started the HAMO Foundation, is the most amazing person. She is always there for anyone who needs her and will never let you down. She is one of the strongest women I have ever met and cares so deeply for our community and others across the world. HAMO is a great way to get involved, volunteer, meet people, and also feel you are not alone.
